R&D

Every year SIMACO allocates 4% of its turnover to Research and Development projects for the marketing of new solutions dedicated to consolidated sectors and the identification of new applications for which the products in the catalog can be applied. Constant improvement in hydraulic and electrical performance and efficiency. Innovation must be achieved by seeking solutions that guarantee the excellence of the products, while at the same time improving their social and environmental characteristics.

Digital simulation and prototype room

SIMACO follows the entire design cycle of new products, from 3D modeling to the creation of prototypes for functional tests. Since 2018 the entire workshop has been completely renovated with the introduction of a 5-axis CNC milling machine and a CNC lathe. Thanks to CAD CAM, the machinery allows the components of new products to be created in a short time, importing the 3D models directly onto the machine.

Since 2019, SIMACO has been equipped with a sophisticated fluid dynamics simulator (CFD) that allows to perform hydraulic operation simulations on 3D models. This investment has significantly reduced the time to market of new products, also substantially reducing the need to develop several series of prototypes. The definitive prototypes undergo a final test in the internal test room, equipped to analyze the performance curve of a large variety of pump models and sizes.

Customer-oriented production

The products in the catalog are characterized by their high flexibility and ability to adapt to different types of systems and characteristics of the end users. SIMACO has made flexibility a key value by applying it to all company areas. The product is standard, but thanks to the internal structure SIMACO is able to accommodate a wide range of product customization requests, implementing them even on small batches. An example: since its birth in 2017, the KN37 model alone has sold over 145 variants, which are characterized by motor, electrical connection, connection layout, mechanical seal and hydraulic characteristics.

Education

SIMACO promotes listening and constant discussion with all stakeholders as a stimulus to problem solving, the creation of new ideas and constant improvement. The constant training carried out at all levels of the organization allows the growth of people, extending to the growth of the company itself. Periodic internal training sessions and training courses held by external companies increase the skills of resources at all levels.

There is no shortage of training meetings and mutual exchange of knowledge with customers, aimed at developing new technical solutions for current and future market needs.
